Why Create Your Vision?

More than a slogan.

Create Your Vision is not just a slogan; it's a powerful message that resonates with me in both areas of design and life itself. This inspiring saying encourages individuals, including myself, to unleash their creative potential and turn their dreams into reality. I’m here to encourage you to get out of your comfort zone, do the hard thing and ask for help when you need it. I believe we all have a vision God places on our hearts we keep thinking about, but to make it happen we have to take a leap of faith.

Our visions are as unique as each of us and they hold the potential to impact not only our life but also the lives of others. We all have a story with our vision to share even if we don’t think we have one or ours isn’t that great. There is always someone out there looking for how to get to the next step. Have you overcome an obstacle, made it to another birthday, brought a child into the world, living part of the dream you had or learning a new skill? Each of those examples are worth sharing. We might not have the straight forward answer or only be a few steps ahead but, more times than not, we are just looking for someone to walk beside us. We want someone to give guidance, celebrate, help and encourage us as we learn how to get to the next step.

Create Your Vision encourages you to let your imagination run and together we can bring your design ideas to life. I fell in love with art at a young age and before I learned how to write with my hands! That may sound funny to someone who doesn’t know me. In short, I was born with a condition call Arthrogyrposis that affects my arms and hands. So up until the age of two my arms were stuck straight, so when I started to color and write I did it with my toes! (that chapter of my story is for another time) After surgeries, therapy and strong will I learned how to write with my hands. Art class was a favorite throughout school, but didn’t see myself becoming an artist. Needing to fill an English class, I decided I’d try Yearbook. After that class, I was going to become a magazine designer after graduating. 🙃 Spoiler Alert: that never happened, but my love for designing never left. Sharing a vision through design and life stories is what I hope to create. When I get to where I want my vision to go I imagine a lavender field with a soft sunset and peace in my heart knowing I created the vision God set for me.

What vision have you been given? What story are you sharing? What type of design would your vision be?
