About Me - Deanna Ruth Designing.

My First Blog Post.

As I sit to write this first blog post I am actually just editing a post a wrote a couple years ago when I first started Deanna Ruth Designing. This has been a dream and in the works for many months— who are we kidding, I should say years. I’m done looking back on the year wishing I had put my whole heart into Deanna Ruth Designing, DRD for short. I decided it was time to take the business headshot pictures and launch the website! Does this scare me because I don’t have it all figured out? Am I ready to jump in and learn along the way? Do I have a passion to design and ready to share it with others? Am I trusting the God above to lead me?

Absolutely, Absolutely, Absolutely, and Absolutely!

About Me.

Now it is time for the introduction you came here to find. I’m Deanna Ruth Fehr the starter, creator, and designer at Deanna Ruth Designing. I was born in the big city of Minneapolis, MN due to being born with a disability in my arms called Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita, AMC for short. It has always been apart of me, so if you have questions about it feel free to ask. I was raised in a small Iowa town on a pig farm and around semi trucks my whole life thus far. I did move away for a short time to Colorado, but missed having family close. Through the experiences of growing up on a farm, moving away, now living and even purchasing a home in my home town, it has made me the person I am today. Just to clarify, it has not been like the Hallmark movies, if you were wondering, but I know God has been by my side the whole time. My family, faith in God, friends, designing, small coffee shops, sunsets/sunrises, music, fuzzy anything, traveling and games nights give me life!

I would consider myself more of an introvert and don’t like drawing attention to myself if I don’t have to. I am also one that likes to have everything figured out before doing something new, so DRD scared me to start. The thing is I’m starting to realize not everything can be planned. Plans change, life happens, God has a different idea and we never really have it all figured out. I do know that this has been on my heart for too long not to jump in and see where it takes me.

A little back story how the idea came about.

I am a Sales and Marketing Management graduate with some Graphic Design classes who has a passion to design content for individuals and businesses. Since graduating college in 2014 I have been working for different companies in the community and out of state to help them expand while working in the Sales and Marketing position. My favorite part was being able to design marketing content for them and hearing the customers stories through the purchasing processes. Having a job where I can do just that is what I'm hoping Deanna Ruth Designing will give me.

When thinking of a business name other than using my name, Deanna Ruth, nothing stuck or had much meaning behind it. I wanted a company name that had meaning. I don’t share my middle name all that often, so making it part of my business name made me hesitant. After telling others the name and using it on projects I’ve already done, it has grown on me. FUN FACT: My middle name is shared with my mom and comes from a few of my great aunts.

What DRD offers.

As a designer I offer company branding like logos, invitations, business content, holiday cards, wall decor, and any other design ideas one may have. I strive to create the design my clients had envisioned and will be here to help online or in-person. I strive to create a design you are completely satisfied with.

Along with the design side of DRD I will be blogging. Just like how DRD came about I had a dream to start a blog. I will be writing about different design projects I have done, interests and experiences of mine, faith, Arthrogryposis, products I’m loving, and many other topics I find captivating to research and write about.

I look forward to connecting with you if it would be for me to Design Your Vision or just connecting through the blog. I’d love to hear from you! Do we have anything in common? What brought you to my site? What would you want to learn more about?
